Bear Lake

We just returned from fun and sun in Bear Lake.  We stayed in a fantastic condo with the Harris family.

We had a lot of fun on the beach, on the boat, and eating!  We cooked some great meals at the condo, ordered take out pizza, and walked to LaBeau's for raspberry shakes.  (Well some of us had raspberry.)

When will I see you again???

So, about 10 years ago, after much searching, we found and bought a 1969 Chevy Camaro (my dream car).  We immediately had some body work done and had the car painted.  That's where the progress stopped.  The shop that was working on it, was slower than molasses in the winter, and while the car sat there waiting, parts started disappearing.  We towed it home, with all the pieces, doors, hood, trunk, etc.  and parked it.  Then we moved to our new house and towed it and all the pieces here, where it's been patiently wainting in the garage for over 6 years.  Various people have proudly announced that they could fix it, but most have never come back for a second visit.  Along came Casey.  Casey is an 18 year old friend of Jessica who loves fixing cars.  He came and took a look and was ready to tackle the project.  He and his dad picked up the car and all the parts leaving me with a promise that it will indeed be in one piece again and that I will be able to drive it soon.

My fingers are crossed.

Summer Fun

Summer is flying by.  We are loving the boat, which Parker has named 'Brad'.  (We'll have to think about that one.)  We have been able to go out 1 or 2 times a week.  The weather has been great and the water is warming up nicely.  The boys have been able to go to Lagoon and Kaden came  to stay for a few days.  We have registered for another football season, which will start soon, and Parker just had is Eagle Scout board of review.  Colby's paperwork for his project will be submitted on July 25 and then we just have to wait for it to be approved.  We are looking forward to going to Bear Lake with the Harris family.  We always have so much fun together and I'm sure this time will not dissappoint.

School is less than 1 month away, I can't believe it.
