Youth Conference

Back in January, Allen and I were asked to head up our wards Youth Conference this year.  We had a great committee with 2 other couples from the ward.  It was a lot of work to plan and carry out but it turned out to be a lot of fun.  I think it was a success.  YC was July 20th and 21st.  On Friday, we started out with the Amazing Race.  We did 2 service projects, one within the ward doing yard work and another, collecting food and working at the Bountiful Food Pantry.

The teams had to figure out clues and get to each destination for their next clue or challenge.  Some did better than others.

We finished the race off with a mechanical bull.  Hold on Tight!  (That was the theme for the conference.)

We ended Friday with a fun barbeque, games, and of course a water fight broke out.

Saturday we were up bright and early for breakfast, then we headed to Willard Bay.  We played Faith Fear Factor and then everyone spent the afternoon playing in water, tubing and wakeboarding.

We ended the weekend with a nice dinner and speaker.  It was a lot of fun, but honestly I'm glad it's over.
